How do I close my contributor account?

Please Contact Us with your request. As a contributor, please note that in accordance with our upload agreement, you cannot close your account unless your images have been online for at least 7 days.  If you close your account, we will remove your images from Bigstock within 24 to 72 hours. * Previously approved content will need to be uploaded and reviewed again if you decide to return to Bigstock at a later time.

When you send your request, please include your Full Name, Profile Name, and Email address that is associated with your Bigstock account. As a way to keep in touch with our contributor's needs, we would also like to understand the reason you will no longer be a contributor to the Bigstock collection - so we welcome your feedback.

How do I transfer my account from a business to a personal account?
There are two permissible ways to change a contributor account from a company account to a personal account.

The easiest and preferred way is to send us a resolution signed by all shareholders and directors (if your business is a corporation), by all members and /or managers (if your business is an LLC) or by all partners (if you are a partnership) with the resolution transferring all rights of the content to you.

Alternatively, you can provide us with an email confirming a complete and final disabling of the account, so that we can assist you in closing down the company account and opening a new account in your own name. Please note that all download history and earnings levels of the account will be removed and that you will have to re-upload all of your content to the new account where it will be subjected to the review process again with the possibility of rejections.

All requests are reviewed and processed on a case-by-case basis. If approved you will be required to complete a new Form W-9 or a Form W-8 (depending on the country you live in), and you will  have to execute an Assignment and Assumption Agreement, which we will provide at that time.

Please Contact Us before proceeding with any account changes so we can provide additional instructions and so we can guide you through the process.

How do I transfer my account from a personal to a business account?
To change your account from a personal account to a business account, we require a copy of your ID and proof of the existence of the business entity. Such proof varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction and may include, by way of example, any of the following: Filing receipt, certificate of incorporation, certificate of organization, articles of incorporation, partnership certificate, etc. Please send these documents as an attachment to this email.

All requests are reviewed and processed on a case-by-case basis. If approved you will be required to complete a new Form W-9 or a Form W-8 (depending on your country of residence), and obtain and enter a U.S. Employer ID Number (EIN) by completing and filing Form SS-4 to the IRS.

Finally the business entity will be required to assume all of your obligations and your various agreements with Bigstock, and you may have to execute an Assignment and Assumption Agreement, which we will provide at that time.
Please Contact Us so we can provide additional instructions and so we can guide you through the process.

How do I transfer my account to another person?

If you wish to change the name in the “Pay To” field to that of a different person, we want to emphasize that the name in this field does not just refer to the person who receives payments, but also the one who owns the account and rights to all the content in the account. Changing this field therefor means a transfer of the ownership and all rights of your content on Bigstock and a loss of access privileges to the account. Please keep this in mind as you proceed.

In order to change the account copyright holder to another person's name, please send us an email with a reason for the ownership change as well as the following:
1) Copy of the current account holder's ID
2) Photo of the current account owner holding the ID next to his or her face
3) Copy of the new account holder's ID
4) Photo of the new account owner holding the ID next to his or her face

We request these documents for security purposes as we must verify that the account is being transferred to the correct individual and with the consent of the original account holder.

All requests are reviewed and processed on a case-by-case basis. If approved, the new account holder will be required to complete a new Tax Profile as well as a new Form W-9 or a Form W-8 (depending on the country of residence).
Please Contact Us before proceeding with any account changes so we can provide additional instructions and we will guide you through the process.

What happens to my earnings and portfolio if I pass away?

Bigstock honors the instructions of Estate representatives worldwide.

As an example, your portfolio may be transferred over to a beneficiary. Include this designation in your Will and have that Will reviewed and approved by a lawyer or notary public. When it comes time, your beneficiary would approach us with the necessary paperwork for an account transfer to take place.

We recommend that you seek legal counsel to definitively answer your questions regarding Trusts and Estates.
If you are the Estate representative, p
